You are in luck, neither of the traffic wardens, I have locked in our cellar, know anyone in Cyprus. I will wrap them up brown paper and ship them out tomorrow via DHL, that will solve 2 problems, your parking troubles and somewhere to put Mrs. Keef. All we are saying is - 'Give Turf a Chance' - It will grow on you. Now Then.. Now Then..... Wots all this about 2 traffic warden in yer cella. I would check with Mrs Keef. She may prefer to come out here via DHL. Do send her express though as there is hoovering and ironing to be done. ;D Cheers. Trev. Enjoy your Pancakes

I thought the parents were bad outside our local school but yours are even worse Trev. Why is it that some parents seem to think the rules are meant for everyone else but not them?

Hoovering and Ironing - Not sure she will understand such terminology but I will ask her, when the time is right (when she isn't holding anything sharp or heavy). She doesn't have much time for domestic chores after she has been laying bricks all day but I have painted the whole house with the same stuff they line self cleaning ovens with so there's never much cleaning to do. As for ironing, she doesn't bother even washing her overalls so ironing is a bit pointless. As for me, I just wet my clothes and run over them with her wheel barrow.
I am making the pancakes tonight and I shall be sticking to the recipe which has been passed down through the generations from Father to Son since the family first set foot in England after being cleared out of Scotland by Bonny Prince Charlotte, herself.
Pancakes 1 Bucket of Flour 1 Bucket of Milk 43 Fresh Eggs and a handful of salt.
It is much easier making them these days since Mrs Keef bought a new cement mixer because her old one is right next to the kitchen door. It is a bit rusty but the pancakes come out a lovely colour. There is always plenty left if anyone wants to come round but you might be asked to help. It is not easy lifting a hot dustbin lid off the fire on my own. Ah well must go, I have just realised I need to get a dozen melons from the shop to squeeze on the pancakes.

Well I find it hard to believe that it is practically one whole month since I added anything to my 'Trev in Cyprus' pages. The weather here has not been like a usual Cyprus March. We have had plenty of rain with thunderstorms included. And the next 5 days are forecast to be the same. We are still using the central heating each evening, but surely it will be Spring soon The thing that has prompted me to add to these pages is to tell you of a disappointment I have just learned about. '1car1' have gone into receivership. This is the company that I have / had a car booked with for my June visit. They were by far the cheapest company, with a price of about £185 for 13 days, and they did not take a deposit. I have looked on the Internet tonight and the cheapest is about £225 and they want a deposit up front. At least I have a lot of time to look around for a replacement Having complained about the weather earlier I must say that we have some good days. Here are two photographs (1 close up) of 'Aphrodite's Rock' on the south west coast. Remarkably, I have not altered the colours at all. Cheers. Trev..

The photos are absolutely beautiful Trev. That sea is a gorgeous colour.
Bad news about your car hire company but must be just one of many companies going under at the moment. I hope you manage to find an alternative and still have an enjoyable visit over here.

Because we are off out I have only time to pick up on one of the points in your letter Willow. An 11% rise........ I want to ask,,,,Are you sure?? Is this perhaps because you have been moved into a different band.
There must be some explanation.
See you all tomorrow. Trev..

Would you still pay the same amount if you closed up the west wing of Willow Towers and lived in the Summer Annexe?

Well no pictures for you today.... Just a few words to let you know what is going on in my little kingdom. My better half Mrs N, is back in the UK with you all. I escorted her to Paphos airport on Sunday evening and she was met at Manchester by our Daughter. So now she is staying at Over Kellet and enjoying your Typical English weather, which I believe is perhaps a little brighter than ours at the moment. Today she took delivery of a Hire Car and was happy to find that she could still drive. In Cyprus it is me that is always behind the wheel, and perhaps that is not a good thing. She is over there for two weeks and so will be able to enjoy Easter. She has shown me where the washing machine is and given me a quick course in how to use it. I also know where the iron is but maybe to touch that would be tempting fate. The dishwasher is 'my' machine so no problems there. But of course to use the dishwasher means putting food on plates to keep the wolf from the door. Just as I do the driving, then Hilary does the cooking. I know I will not starve ;D Yesterday I bought a cooked chicken and some roast potatoes from the supermarket. Two main meals and the 'roasties' are gone........ But there is still more than half a chicken left. I will have to carve it up and keep it well chilled. I will look in the freezer tomorrow and see what is available for my 3rd main meal, probably with a jacket potato. If I have any disasters I will let you know. Oh, and thank goodness for Emails. We can at least keep in touch. Regards. Trev..

If you get desperate for recipes Trev I'm sure we can help out.
Not sure about the weather in Over Kellet but here last night it was blowing a gale and a 'Men at Work' sign from up the road has ended up under a car outside our garden - hope no damage was done. It isn't our car.
That sign has been up there for days. Men came and dug a hole - disgustingly smelly water ran down the road. Different men fiddled about down the hole for a couple of days. More men partially refilled the hole and this it has remained ever since.

Thanks for the offer of help in the culinary department, but I won't starve.
You do make me laugh Willow. So you have a car outside (not yours) with men working underneath it!! ;D

Thank goodness for a food parcel. If I eat any more chicken I will be clucking Keith I thought the hard bits were a bit bony. The talk of chicken reminded me that I do have a picture to upload. It is our Easter in another 8 days, and it is the biggest festival here. Every town and village has decorations. These are by our village. Cluck....sorry Cheers. Trev.. ( who is off to a restaurant tonight)
