Thought I would just pop in and say Hi. Hope all is well out on the island. Nothing much changes here at Keefy Towers. Mrs Keef has gone off to Glasgow to see Michael Buble with Mrs Kleen. Day didn't start well - Trains 0921 and 0936 Bare Lane to Lancaster were both cancelled. I suspect they were the same train. Mrs Keef went into Lancaster by bus and caught a later train and arrived in Glasgow only 30 mins later than planned. I have some pics of high tide at George's Quay Lancaster to put on the site but I am busy doing other stuff at the moment. Even my own site is off at the moment although the images for the forum are all there (I think). Should not complain about being busy.

Good afternoon Keith. Sad about the cancellation of the trains, but good to hear that Mrs Keefy and Mrs Kleen (do we know her) have got to Glasgow OK.
I did wonder if the roadworks for the new road have had much impact on the local traffic. I read about Torrisholme rd being closed a week or two ago. I suppose people will just have to put up with the discomfort until the new road is finished.
Life here it ticking along OK and the weather is great. In fact it has been the mildest Winter we have had here and the heating bill for house and water is likely to be about 500 UK pounds. Unfortunately next week there is rain forecast for some part of every day.
I have been looking at the plans for the new Broadway building, and I thought they were a bit futuristic. I am not sure if they have been given the final go ahead yet though.
Enjoy your Spring Weather. Cheers. Trev..

Mrs Kleen is second in line of the offspring I inherited when I became a Morcambrian.
There have been numerous rumours about the Broadway but not sure if anything is written in stone yet.
We used to enjoy sitting out front with a glass or two but all that was stopped when we were informed that they no longer served non-residents. Seems to me that the hotel is managed by accountants and not by people people. Not a problem as there are other emporiums of alcoholic distribution within a reasonable walking distance of Keefy Towers.

The weather here is very Spring like now and we have as far as we can tell given up needing any heating at all In the last week or so there have been electricity board men on our rural lane marking out where poles are going. Apparently they want to continue our electricity lines and make a big ring instead of a spur to our house. The thing is that we paid over 14,000 Euros for poles and wires to our property. When they have finished I will be going to see it we are due any refund... My guess would be no, but I will have a try Cheers. Trev..

Sorry Trevor, didn't see this reply. Might be too late now but if you paid for the installation, you should be able to charge a fee for use of the supply. Forget a one off fee unless you plan to pop your clogs in the foreseeable. You need an on going charge to keep Hil in the manner to which she has become accustomed.

Thought I would raise my head above the parapet and say BOO! How are things on the island?
Things are ticking away OK here in Morecambe although it is very dark and windy this morning. Been following the TT from a distance, as I usually do but that is over with now. Next event is the Tour De France which this year passes through Yorkshire ('The EE By Gum Bike Ride'). I will be following proceedings on the TV but have no intention of going to see it.
