As Trev will be winging his way over from Cyprus in the non-too-distant future Coachman thought it would give us an ideal opportunity to pop up there and meet up - and of course it would be good if any other locals would like to come along and meet up with us too.
Now of course the first question is - where shall we meet? Can one of you locals recommend a decent watering hole where we could get together? Maybe we should all wear labels so we know who we are! I'll have trouble seeing you anyway because my eyes are still playing up. ;D

Mrs Keef and myself would be up for that, do we want to meet in a pub/cafe/restaurant?
It depends on what time of day but here are some suggestions which we could turn into a vote.
Smugglers Den - (Police Station) - Pub Owls Nest - (Bare) - Pub Honey Tree - (Chinese Restaurant) - Marine Road Stone Jetty Cafe - (Stone Jetty) - Cafe Grove - (Pedder Street) - Restaurant The Lawn outside the Midland - (Near Stone Jetty) - Where we could watch the 'well to do' taking high tea ;D The Platform - (Marine Road) - Pub

A big place might be better, so that we can be sure of getting a decent table/seats. esm xx

I'll be in town on the 11th with my fiasco, sorry fiancee :0) on the Thursday the 11th til about lunchish time on the Saturday, and would like to meet up, anywhere really. My usual haunts are Wetherspoons, Al's Bar (cheap beer!) Uppy Downies or The Pier, but I'm really not too fussed. We will be in the hospitality of Caroline and Pat at the Morecambe Bay Guest House on Marine Road again.

Good evening all. I thought that I would add my twopenneth to this post. I know that Coachman and Willow are aware of my trip timetable. And also that I agree it would be good to have a ' Meet up' My time table is this.... I arrive on Monday 8th June about 09-00 in the morning. I am free then until late afternoon on Friday the 12th of June, when I travel to Glasgow for the weekend. I am back in Morecambe on Monday the 15th of June and am free until I leave on Saturday morning the 20th of June. If any meet up is organised that I can attend I will certainly be there, where ever it may be. I will as you may expect have the use of a hire car. By the way........ When I say "I am free", this does not mean that I am coming with nothing in mind to do. I have one or two other people to visit in the general area, and also hopefully some ships in Heysham Harbour to visit. And of course, lot's of shopping to do. Take care all. Hope to see some of you soon. Trev.. PS. Will I need a coat. ;D

How does the evening of Thursday June 11th sound to everyone? Coachman will be working during the day but we could easily pop up there for the evening.

As mentioned previously, that day and any other that I am not in Scotland is fine with me. I see Andrew and his finances seem to be there then. If two of you come dressed almost the same......... I bet I will be able to 'Spot the Difference'
Cheers. Trev..

When we have a venue and a time I will be there. And with regards to recognition..... If it is (god forbid) cold enough to wear a pullover I will have a dark blue one with a small badge of the Cyprus map in Yellow, with CyprusLiving written in small letters. If it is warm enough for just a short sleeved shirt, I shall have my (home made) 'TREVNHIL' badge on. Is matron not allowed out as well, at the same time as you Keith. Regards. Trev.. Best wishes. Earlier today I had a PM from Keith about the meet up. I told him that I was typing the messages outside .. in the sun... with a beer. He does make me laugh sometimes. The message he sent back contained a smily....... But it was a red and angry face. Now how could any one begrudge me a little warmth and comfort.. Excuse the white legs. Hope to see some of you soon. Trev.. ;D

I bet your watching football now, having a 'sanders rest' We have no cat flap and I can't put one in our rented property. The cat got me out of bed at 5-00 AM this morning to let him out. Lovely cat though. Cheers. Trev..

There is definately a wire coming out of a cat flap on the outside wall. See what too much beer and sun does for you. ;D I'll stick to sanding although it is nearly done now - it's a smooth as a baby's - err - bottle
