Right that's got the date sorted now - so where do you locals reckon we should meet? Shall we have a vote on it?

We will be in the hospitality of Caroline and Pat at the Morecambe Bay Guest House on Marine Road again. Just a thought - - but does Caroline and Pat have a bar at their guest house? Just a suggestion, but to have a comfortable room to ourselves in quiet surroundings with beer (or coke) laid on, and no drunks trying to invade the party.............
but if anyone else can suggest somewhere different, I am all for it

There is definately a wire coming out of a cat flap on the outside wall. See what too much beer and sun does for you. ;D I'll stick to sanding although it is nearly done now - it's a smooth as a baby's - err - bottle Good Morning 'Sandy' That's not the cat flap, silly. That's the letter box. As you will see they have non in the front doors?? ;D Trev..

So how do you get your mail? You have to wait on the corner with all the other 'ladies'.
I think that is unfair, it is bad enough Mrs. Keef having to live with me let alone bringing her drinking habits into question.
I have just asked her and she tells me that we have decided that any venue will suit us, except for the Broadway Hotel - We have been refused service there because we were non residents (we might have been ok if she had covered the tattoos on her knuckles).

"So how do you get your mail? You have to wait on the corner with all the other 'ladies'." The mail come every couple of days and it is delivered by a ...postman. You can see the mail BOX in the picture below. It is on the garden wall next to the gate. PS... Does Matron have any more tattoos. Trev..

Keef's cat flap is definitely a different thing entirely to your letter box Trev Meanwhile, back to the plot - where are we going to go for our BayWeb meet? Nice quiet pub with no drunks and not too loud music so we can hear ourselves think and somewhere that won't chuck us out for not being residents and not having a lavish meal.

Hi All. I realise that a place has yet to be decided on for what will be the first Morecambe Bay Web 'Meet Up'. Whilst we are waiting for the decision on a venue I wondered if Willow or Coachman would post a 'rolling' up to date list of who is likely to be there on Thursday the 11th of June. A bit like the quiz answers being put on a post.
So where ever it is held..... TREV: will be there. (well that's one)
Cheers. Trev..

Coachman and I made a trip up to Morecambe this evening and did a bit of a recce. We finally decided The Pier up near the Clock Tower would be ideal. I shall make a proper announcement about it in the morning when I can think more clearly.

They have a front garden area though which has a stunning view over the bay too. I keep hinting slightly at them to join this grooup, I e mailed Caroline to confirm my booking, and gave a link to this site. I'm a member of The Gordon Club, I'm not sure how many I'd be allowed to sign in, but in this current climate if I turned up with a coach full of drinkers they wouldn't turn us back. Again I'm not too fussed where we go as long as it is fairly peaceful.

I like The Pier, not too noisy, and hopefully the seats near the window in the lounge will be free. That and I hope we have nice weather!
