I attended the meetings, gave my contact details, they lost them, I contacted them again, gave my contact details.
I could be of great use to them but I have heard nothing from them.

When I noticed that you'd posted in this thread for a minute there I got all excited and thought you had some positive information for us.
What is it with councils? Or is it just that Accrington and Morecambe seemed to be blessed with similar ineffectiveness? I have often wondered if they take lessons from each other.

I got a call from Keith Lamb at the Council a few weeks ago asking for my contact details so he could send me some info - I gave him my details but the info appears to have been lost in the mist of www.
I would like to have been given the chance to do something, website wise, for Morecambe but I assume I do not have the right qualifications in bovine excrement to qualify for the post. I think I will carry on digging my own ditches and let them do there own thing.

Not quite MTC but council related and, I think, a local politics funny. Darren Clifford managed to get an article in the Visitor and an online article at Virtual Lancaster about how he would reform Heysham if he won the election which was held yesterday. What he appears to have forgotten to do is fill in his paperwork in time so although he might have lots to offer, he wasn't on the ballot papers. So another MBI on the city council

Back on track, there's been a lot of news recently about the sacking of the town clerk. Bullying was mentioned among other things and our beloved Evelyn Archer took action. Nothing came of it but it does highlight the bun fights going on in our town council.
A lot has also been said about how little our town council appears to have done recently with the emphasis being on the town council actions, or lack of them.
An alternative view is that since Evelyn Archer left/quit/got kicked out, no one can be bothered which I think highlights the fact that one person, and one person alone, wanted a town council. So thanks for that Evelyn, you've managed to shaft us with a financial drain at one of the worst times in the country's history. Maybe now is the time to find out how to can the town council?
