In reply to a question sent to The Visitor:-
"Does Morecambe still have a Town Clerk?",
I received the following reply:-
"The original town clerk has been laid off and the interim town clerk is
Keith Lamb".
I always thought that people wer laid off when a post was no longer in existence.

Presumably the post is still open to applicants and Keith Lamb is only acting TC?

I received an email today in response to my question about the website. I was asked for my phone number so it can be discussed further.
I gave my phone number and now I wait.

I too received an Email from Keith Lamb asking for my phone number. I replied that it would be better to answer via Email as I am in Cyprus. Trev.. |

I have had an email this morning from Keith Lamb. Here is part of it...
"Vicky does not work for the Town Council now she finished on 21st April. I have been asked to help out a little in the office but only doing a few hours a week to keep things moving so to speak. The web page is something that does need to be developed and I am sure when a permanent replacement for Vicky is established this will be worked on. In the meantime the discussion/forum board of the site is currently suspended until such times that it can be serviced on a regular basis "
I thanked him for the email and said that I hoped it would not be too long before the website could be used as intended.

I had a conversation with Keith Lamb who explained the situation regarding the website.
The Council are hoping to develop the website in due course.

I had been telling my hubby about the time I was in Morecombe when the Moby Dick and Hotel was hit by lightening and burnt down. My parents, sister and myself had just come off the Moby Dick when lightening stuck
