Update - First nice evening of the year saw Mrs Keef and myself out and about. Poulton Square fish and chips eaten down on the sea front and they were very good.

I'll make a note of that for the next time we're up there. We will be passing on our way up to Scotland the Tuesday after Easter Monday but won't have timeto stop - got to get to Fort William by teatime.
Have I mentioned the chippy in Carnforth? I wish I could remember the name of the street it's in but we did have some rather nice chips and fish from there a few times. It's in a bit of an out of the way place. I used to think there were only 2 chippies in Carnforth until a local told Coachman about this other one.

There are at least 3 chip shops in Carnforth. There is one on the council estate on Highfield road. This is the road roughly opposite the High school. There is another one on North road. That is a one way street leading from (upper) North road to the A6. Lancaster road. And there is one that was/is called 'The other chippy', on Stanley street. This is almost opposite the Tyre depot.
I think there may be a Chinese doing fish and chips in Market street.
You can tell why I had Cholesterol. ;D

Ah thanks Trev. It'll be the first one you mentioned. Its near the High School. I always used to go to "T'other Chippy" until we found that one. We've had some nice Chinese take-aways too from the one on Market Street.

Fish and Chips were very good from Poulton Square chippy last night and a few gulls kept us company on the sea front while we ate them. Of course we do not feed them.

I am glad that you enjoyed you Fish & Chips. Sometimes the gulls swoop down and help themselves. We had Fish and chips last weekend, but they are not quite as good as 'Kenny's' back in the UK. At least you get some big fish here....... Regards. Trev..

Kenny's were very greasy the last time we had them from there. They have had a chimney installed so you can't smell them next to the shop any more. Now you can smell them a few hundred yards away instead and they don't smell good.

Ohhhhh, that's a shame. When I was ther in June I travelled all the way to Kenny's from Over Kellet for his fish and chip.
I was Not dissapointed, they were brilliant then.

Ted's Grill was on West End Road, it was where the Clarendon Car Park now stands, they were good fish and chips in the 70's.
We like Atkinsons and Blackburns off pedder street.
