Cyprus doesn't look wet on that photo:) Too soft to go out and take a photo in the rain eh? I bet it isn't all that good in Heysham either. It is a bit wet here too but do we care? err - no - we ain't going anywhere so we are taking comfort in tasty beverages. We considered taking canopes on the terrace but decided against it - cus it is too wet. The chairs are led down after the fiasco of borrowing next door's sheep dog to round them up, after the gales.

Still no enthusiasm for sitting out in the garden - too busy watching reruns of reruns of repeats. The food is good though, even though I say so myself.
All that good weather is all very well but it just isn't Christmas without rain.

I notice that coats are being worn, is it a bit cool down by the sea there, Peter? Our Christmas Day appears to have passed without too much incident. We tried something a bit different this year for Christmas dinner, a turkey, chicken, duck and pheasant gallantine. It was very tasty but not as much of a taste bud treat as we expected. I think it will be a turkey or perhaps a goose next year. By the way, that roasting film is one of the best inventions ever, as far as browning meat but keeping it moist. The MenuButternut Squash & Apple soup (with home made bread rolls) Four Bird Gallantine Roast with Roast Parsnips, Roast Potatoes, Honey Glazed Carrots and Mushroom Sauce. A trio of Desserts, Home Made Cheese Cake with Cherries, Brandy Snap Stuffed with Bailey's and Chocolate Flake Cream and finlly, A Sticky Toffee Tart with Sticky Sauce. Dessert was a calorific meltdown but extremely tasty Oh yes, and Nutmeg wishes you all a Merry Christmas.
