For those born in Morecambe which schools did you go to?
I'll start it off....
National School just off Poulton Square followed by the Morecambe Grammar School (now Morecambe High).

As I was born in Over Kellet I went to Wisons Endowed School and when 11 I went to Carnforth Second Remodern School thats now Carnforth High School.

Hi All. I was born in Morecambe. I went to Sandylands county primary school. And then went on to Balmoral secondary school, now Heysham High school.

Hi all. I was born in Chorley but lived in Morecambe from the age of 4. My first school was Morecambe Bay, and secondry scholl was Morecambe High!

Hi, I didn't go to school here however my partner went to Heysham High and my daughter went to Morecambe High, my nephew is at Low Lane School now!

I went to St Marys,( the old one that used to be behind the town hall where the sheltered housing is now) and went on to Our Ladys in Lancaster.

Dallas Road for me, followed by LRGS.
I wasn't brainy enough for the Grammar School though, and played too much sport.
After 2 years I opted out, and then went to Castle School on the Ridge. There were girls there so that suited me a bit better than an all boys affair.

Pompeypete, I went to Dallas Road and Castle too.
All in all I went to: Christ Church, Dallas Road, Caton,Euston Road (Morecambe Bay now)Warton, back to Dallas Road, Castle, Carnforth High.
By the way, I wasn't a naughty girl being kicked out of schools ! My parents just liked doing houses up.

I had been telling my hubby about the time I was in Morecombe when the Moby Dick and Hotel was hit by lightening and burnt down. My parents, sister and myself had just come off the Moby Dick when lightening stuck
