Morecambe's most famous son, Eric Bartholomew, who took the town's name as his stage name, once worked in a coal mine in Accrington and in later years became a director of Luton Town Football Club, where he now has a suite named after him. My husband and I who both love the Morecambe area currently live in Accrington and he orginally came from a little spot near Luton. It's like an eternal triangle. Well I do get quite defensive of them if anyone else knocks them or comes out with "Accrington Stanley - who are they?" in a Scouse accent, but despite having a ringtone version of "Cart On" on my mobile phone I have to admit that I'm not really all that much of a football fan.

Oooh another F1 fan. What did you think of the decision the other week when Hamilton won and then was penalised because he'd gone into that escape lane thingy, cutting the corner going round the bend?
