Morecambe's most famous son, Eric Bartholomew, who took the town's name as his stage name, once worked in a coal mine in Accrington and in later years became a director of Luton Town Football Club, where he now has a suite named after him.

My husband and I who both love the Morecambe area currently live in Accrington and he orginally came from a little spot near Luton.

It's like an eternal triangle.

Well I do get quite defensive of them if anyone else knocks them or comes out with "Accrington Stanley - who are they?" in a Scouse accent, but despite having a ringtone version of "Cart On" on my mobile phone I have to admit that I'm not really all that much of a football fan.
