On Sunday evening we had a delicious Chinese meal at The Honey Tree, 293 Marine Rd Central, Morecambe, near the Clock Tower. This spacious restaurant is tastefully decorated, light and bright and has great views over Morecambe Bay. The service was excellent and speedy and the food was superb. We received complimentary prawn crackers as we sat down to peruse the menu. Coachman chose spare ribs for starters and I had prawn toast (with real prawns). For our main course he chose chicken and mushrooms which came in a thick creamy sauce with delicately cooked and still crunchy onion. I chose sizzling beef in a garlic sauce. It was certainly sizzling and mouthwatering. We also shared a shrimp fried rice. Well you've got to have shrimps in Morecambe haven't you?
It would have been impossible to eat a dessert!
My fortune cookie at the end of the meal told me I will be famous in a few years and Coachman's said his future will be a happy one.

I think I would be happy too if I knew that I was married to someone who was going to be famous...... Even better if you turn out to be RICH and FAMOUS. ;D
Cheers. Trev..

We have been a few times but after having the Golden Lion buffet (and this in no way says the Honey Tree aint good, cos it is) recommended to us have never been back to the Honey Tree.
The action is choose from the buffet menu and if you want more simply order it, only stipulation they make is you make a serious attempt at what you order or they MAY charge you extra. Last time we went it was about £11 per person.
Enjoy your food - my waist line shows the impact and since moving to Morecambe has lost none of its inches.

Yes I noticed a notice that said they reserve the right to charge you extra if you order too much and don't eat it!
