There are 6 story lines, all you have to do is to figure out the song I am going to limit guesses to just one per day midnight to midnight and Willow is NOT allowed to participate as she has been looking over my shoulder (and coming up with some of her peculiar suggestions for songs which I ignored)
Good luck - -
1) OK, I have a confession to make! I have always been a regular church goer. I have listened to my local preacher who tells us that it is morally wrong to partake in sexual adventures outside of marriage and have always agreed with him until.........
I met Billy-Ray!
Our local preacher used to pay a visit to the homes of his congregation regularly and his son, Billy-Ray would come with him, I was smitten and when the preacher turned up at our doorstep, I would find an excuse to go out and the two of us would meet in the back yard to go walkin’ Don’t want to say too much but we were” learnin’ from each others knowing, lookin’to see how much we’re growin’” He was the only one that could ever reach me, thats Billy-Ray.
2) Anyway, so one Saturday evening, I went down to a club in Old Soho with me mates, we were on the pull but to my surprise, this gorgeous bird walked up to me and asked me if I wanted to dance!! Well, I wasn’t going to turn down such an opportunity and I spent the whole evening with her....
Something wasn’t quite right though; she was a real blinder alright but seemed to have muscles where a girl shouldn’t have. Know what I mean? Anyway, towards the end of the evening, she picked me up and sat me on her knee and then invited me to go home with her.
By this time, I had knocked back a fair bit of champagne and happily said yes......... so we got back to her place and would you believe it, she had like, mens parts down below!!!!
Well, I pushed her away and ran for the door but because I was so drunk, I fell to the floor. Our eyes made contact, and I knew that I was in love with her or should I say, the feminine side of him! Now, I’m not the most masculine guy in the world but despite my inexperience, (I’d only left home a week before) I know that I’m not gay but I will always remember with fondness, that evening.
3) I noticed that my friend Betty had a new ring on her finger “Is that Jimmies ring?” I asked? Where did you meet him? She told me that she met him in the candy store......
She was getting a load of stick from her parents because he rode a bike and came from the” wrong” side of town and finally her dad told her to “find somebody new”
Betty was very upset but eventually told Jimmy that they were through. He jumped on his bike and because of the pouring rain, Betty cried out for him to ride slow........................but he died that night in a terrible accident.
4) Flowers – Young Girls – Men – Soldiers - Graveyards
5) I remember when my son was born - - I wasn’t there, I had to work but it was wonderful to know that I had a son.........
I had to earn the money so missed out on his first steps and many other of his achievements but on the rare occasions that I was with him, he told me that he wanted to be “just like me” I can’t think of anything better than a son that appreciates his hard-working dad.
On his 10th birthday, I bought a ball for him. He wanted to play but I must admit, I was too busy with work but when I told him, he just reminded me that he wanted to be just like me......
When he had finished college I was so proud of him, I wanted to sit down and talk to him about his achievements but all he wanted to do was borrow the keys to my car and go off.......
I’ve been retired now for quite some time and the other day, I phoned my son up. “I’d like to see you” I said but his reply was that “My new jobs a hassle and the kids have the flu but its sure been nice talking to you”
As I hung up the phone, it occurred to me that “He’d grown up just like me” My boy was just like me.
6) I sat with a friend the other day in a restaurant on the Kings Road, Chelsea. She was depressed because nothing was going right for her. I tried to explain to her that other people had things happening to them that were so much worse than what she was living through. I told her of a tramp I saw in the closed down market in the East End, he was poorly dressed and his shoes were worn out as he shuffled through the rubbish that was strewn about........
and what about the girls? Filthy hair, clothes in rags, her whole life in two carrier bags.......
.........and isn’t London such a lonely place? A poor old man spending the entire evening drinking tea at the all-night cafe, no one to talk to, he just watches the world go by night after night until he finally goes home by himself......
Or what about the ex serviceman that sacrificed all – and all he got was medals that fade, As a hero, he is forgotten
Let me take you by the hand and I will show you these people so that you cannot say that for you, the sun don’t shine...............[/color]
If you read the stories carefully, you may pick up on the lyrics of the songs.........
