Wot trev said.
There's too many turbines (turbines, not windmills!) in the top pic. I think I counted 33 but the Barrow Off Shore wind farm only has 30.
And there's 2 FT702LT ultrasonic anemometers on each of them... which I made!

Hey Bondee - we know the truth, they are organic windmills which breed and then fledge to populate other windfarms. Trying to convince us otherwise is pointless. I even read that someone said they generate electricity, I have never heard anything so daft in my whole life. They are rather pretty thougn and they should not be culled.

Now steady on Keith. I do believe if you look into the situation properly, you will find that there are large electricity cables running to each one from a central point. Quite obviously this is so that when there are days without any wind at all they an be made to turn by electricity. However I believe that these 'windmills' and as you say countless thousand others, are to blame for the current harsh weather. All of them combined are blowing the Earth off its normal axle. Boffin (for a day) Trev.. EDIT. I do sincerely apologise for some of my writings above, I don't know what came over me. Please.... for windmill can you read... 'Turbines' I think my dad used to smoke those in the war. ;D

I'm with the Pub Landlord on this one... We build nuclear power stations right along the south coast, and just inland of them, we build wind farms. Then, if there's an accident at one of the power stations, we switch the wind turbines to "blow" and send the poisonous cloud over to the French.

That pub landlord sounds like a wise man - would he like the job of PM?

What I'd like to know is, where did Keef nick those 3 turbines from that he has gone and plonked out in the bay - and what has he done with that pillar? Was it a trade off? Has some poor misguided windfarm owner now got a strange non-revolving addition to his collection?

This DNA profiling is all very well Peter but those windmills (sorry Woodbines) move round, all by themselves.
As for removing the 'Pillar', I don't know what you mean gavna! It was still there when I left on New Year's Day. The camera never lies you know!

Oh OK, I suppose I should come clean. First we went to Walney Island, hired a small rowing boat and stood a large mirror in the sea to reflect some of the windbines. We returned to Morecambe and swam out to the pillar girl and covered it in a magic invisible cloak we borrowed from a pantomime.
Oh Yes We Did! - I made a film of it and will put it on here just as soon as I find it, Mrs Keef has put the Invisible cloak down somewhere and I think the camera is under it.
I though that we would be able to see right through the Earth but I am wrong again. Anyway, back to work after rge celebrations, I think the break has done me good.

Back to sensible mode now.
Bondee Are ultrasonic anemometers used because they have no moving parts, so they are more reliable?
