This is a quiz but as yet I do not have the answer. BackgroundI have wanted this shot for a long time but unfortunately my camera is not up to such zooming and I ended up with a very grainy image. Ignoring the poor quality, but the background is well over 4 miles away and the mountains in the background are much further. What is the circled building. I didn't notice it when I took it but now I am intrigued, can anyone help. I have ruled out Conishead Priory as it is closer to the sea than that and think it is in the direction of Ulverston but it may give those without Sky cards, something to think about. I think the headland is Humphrey Head but even that is a guess and after a day making a loft hatch - I can't be bothered any more. The picture was taken from the promenade to the West of the Midland Hotel

Maybe he's gone to check it out. ;D By the way, it's 8 miles as the seagull flies. Trev.. OR...... Maybe the hatch is stuck and he can't get out of the loft.

Thanks for that Trev - I think you are right and at 8 miles, maybe the camera is not too bad after all. I still want the picture of the Dodo, sorry mythical bird sculpture but I want it when there is snow on the mountains.
It is a job for the tripod and a very clear day, I will get it!

I call that bird the 'jetty bird' - it's the image I used for the BayWeb favicon.
