Well, time for another clue perhaps. There is a road nearby with royal connections.

Another clue for you from your (generous) quiz master. ;D
There is / was a Tithe Barn nearby. I think it is still there perhaps with a different roof and being put to a different use during my lifetime.
Cheers. Trev..

Good Morning all. Well maybe I should step the clues up a bit. One half of me wants to help you, and the other half wants this to last a while longer.
However, here is another clue.
Not far away you could find a property for the Blind People.

Hi all. Here is yet another clue for you. Certainly not now.. But in years gone by there was the home of a pantomime character nearby.

Good morning again. Well here is yet another clue.... Although the building probably has a good alarm system, they also have a 'soldier' on guard in the garden. This must be the puzzle with the most clues.

And yet I guess you must have been down Bare lane at sometime.
The next clue would have been something about a domestic animal, and a wild fowl across the way.
Ie...The 'Dog and Partridge'
Regards. Trev..
Try the 'I' one ;D

The statue has been restored. It was plaster on an iron framework, and as recently as 1970 much of the the plaster had fallen off.
I used to go past it twice per day on my paper round in the 1960's. I worked for Ells newsagents on Princes Crescent close to the Elms Hotel (RIP, perhaps ?).
At the time, I lived on Elms Rd.
