We had a lovely meal there the other day. Mr esm had Minted Lamb Henry and I had Steak & Ale Pie. It was all home made and the vegetables were perfectly cooked too.
They also have an outside seating area, some of it is undercover, so if you have a dog, you can still eat there.

I love Lamb Henry. I am trying to think where the Royal is and wondering if I have ever been there.

It is down the Main Street in Heysham village. It's on the same side of the road as St Peter's church. They have a large car park at the rear. esm xx

In June when I was on my Morecambe visit we had lunch there in the garden at the rear. There was myself and a group of girls from my former work place. Because they only had an hour for dinner they booked the different snacks first by phone. Everything went very well. the food and the drinks were good and not too dear. A very nice experience.

Thanks for the photo Esm. Of course now I see it I realise that we have dined there. In fact it was in that pub last summer that Em and I dreamed up our non-winning entry to the Walkers crisps competition. We fancied a bit of garlic bread with cheese.
