Must be the busiest little cafe in Morecambe! Seating inside and out. Great view of the Midland Hotel  If you want something quick and reasonably priced forget your burger bars and your chicken drumsticks - Rita's is the place! Right there on the prom with cheerful, friendly staff and speedy service. A couple of years ago owner Steve even put candles on my daughter's birthday cake for us and got the whole cafe to sing 'Happy Birthday'  |

The food is good and very reasonable, but being a big guy (not fat lol tall!) I found the portions very small! I lived in Morecambe for 20 years from the age of 4, and one restaurant / cafe bar that has ALWAYS been excellent, great food at Great prices is the Grove on Pedder Street. I visit my mum every other week and go there for lunch! Never a bad meal! If we do decide to try somewhere else for a change we are always disappointed and return to the Grove on my next visit! The Roast Beef dinner is lovely!

;D The portion sizes are a point in favour with me because I don't always want a huge plateful. Another one of the things I like about Rita's is the flexibility. The menu may say "chips or salad" but they are always happy to do chips and salad if you ask, and 2 pieces of garlic bread can always be upped to three. |

When ritas were base in pleasureland i was served a cheese and onion pie that had gone mouldy inside when i showed it one of the two men that ran the place,he blamed it on stock rotation and one of the young girls,and asked if i would like a bacon sandwich instead!

I didnt report it as i am never normally awake in the day time with me working nights,i went in after i had finished shift at the night club then onto a building site..it actually looked like it had cobwebs inside but it was the mould that had gone black...this was a few years back now...i cringe when i walk past the place on the prom.

We've never had any problems with the food there. It's not gourmet though, just cheap and cheerful. I wonder what the rating is on that list? I shall have a look, see if I can find it.

I had been telling my hubby about the time I was in Morecombe when the Moby Dick and Hotel was hit by lightening and burnt down. My parents, sister and myself had just come off the Moby Dick when lightening stuck
