Hi MorecambeWeb, I am Keith and moved to Morecambe from Accrington a few years ago. Morecambe has been the butt of music hall jokes for many years but I think the place is great. True, it has its rough areas but every town has those and you know to keep away from them during the hours of darkness. My wife and I enjoy walking and as there are so many routes to choose from the place is ideal for us. There are numerous places to eat good food around here, you just have to know where to look.

If we could control the weather there would be a war so we have to ecourage weather proof development.
Morecambe with a retractable roof - now there's a concept.

Hi Keith. Welcome from me as well. I posted straight away as well. Perhaps we are both too eager to help this new forum.
Regards. Trev..

Hi Keith, nice to see you can manage to post, I have no idea what's happened to activation emails but I shall look into it. Maybe we have got BayWeb gremlins. ;D There always seems to be at least one technical hitch on a forum. At least this one works in your favour as you can still post. A roof over Morecambe? Noooooo! I rely on rain to water my garden and hope to be able to do the same when we eventually move up there ........... following in your footsteps from Accy. When we were staying at Ocean Edge this summer my daughter and I got drenched on several occasions when out for a walk, once we took refuge in an interesting looking pub and discovered a whole new place to go for meals: The Old Roof Tree Inn at Middleton.

We used to go to the Hest Bank Hotel quite a bit but the last time we went we were a bit disappointed. Might give it a try. How about an eating and drinking section to the website? What is Exalt and Smite

It might be an idea to have a 'where to eat?' and a 'where to stay?' section - just going with the flow at the moment and waiting to see what sort of topic takes off. I didn't want to make it too complicated but on the other hand I don't want people to lose relevant stuff in the general hubbub. Exalt and Smite refer to the karma points. ;D on another message forum not a million miles from here we've almost had full scale war breaking out at times over karma awards but the system is totally anonymous here and doesn't carry a comment feature. If you appreciate the effort someone has made with an informative post you can click on 'Exalt' and it will award them a karma point. 'Smite' will deduct a karma point. No matter how many karma points you may have personally you can only add or deduct one.
