I have lived in Bare, Morecambe with my family, since 1992 and have come to know the area very well. We are fortunate to live just a few minutes from the promenade and have often taken photos of the stunning sunsets. I am happily married and am also a very proud grandma to the most gorgeous boy (aged 8) in Morecambe. Not that I am biased of course. esm xx

Welcome to Bayweb esm. It is a rule here at Bayweb that Grand parents can be as biased as they like so you should fit in with no problems at all. Please share any of those stunning sunsets with us as many of the visitors who visit this forum are land locked and need a regular dose of sea sight.
If you read through some of the old threads you should soon realise that we only take things seriously when we really have to.
Most of all enjoy yourself here!

Just be sure to tell a few thousand of your closest friends about it and then we can arrange the Morecambe Bayweb Festival of The Sea.

Hello everyone. I grew up and went to school in Morecambe (Lancaster Road / Morecambe High) but now live in the Cambridgeshire Fens. However, I still have family in the town so I usually visit every couple of months. I have a question: what news of Lubin café? I know it was closed due to Trish’s accident, but my spies tell me it’s still not reopened. Any info welcome, as I am having meat & potato pie and peas withdrawal... thanks!

Hi Granddadgrabber. Welcome to the forum. Our children went to Morecambe High. But I could only mange Heysham high (Balmoral) myself.
Sorry I can't help re Lubin's as I am in Cyprus. But no doubt one of the locals will help in the near future.
Regards. Trev..

Hello Granddadgrabber Welcome to he BayWeb. I'm not a local either but hope to be one day. I have some friends who live down your way and we've visited that area quite a few times. Sorry to hear about Lubins and Trish, Dave.
