For a special occasion this is excellent, we have been a few times and it is just fun. It is quite expensive but worth it for the experience. Your food is cooked by a human fireball - only kidding, your food is cooked in front of you in the Japanese Teppanyaki style (on a hot piece of metal ;D) It looks good and tastes good. I've never had a Japanese meal, does it differ greatly from Chinese or Thai? Perhaps I can treat Willow in the summer - unless the food is based on fish which brings on an allergy despite the fact that I love it

Not liking fish shouldn't be a problem but it does make up quite a lot of the choice. If you react to small traces of fish then it is probably not for you. If you can tolerate some fish then go for it. I had a scallop starter which was served in a lemon mayonaise flavoured thing, it was just fantastic. We have done scallops at home but can never get them to taste of anything. It is very similar to Thai cooking as they go for flaavour rather than the heat of Chinese or Indian. They bring the starters to you but all your main course, including the egg fried rice, is cooked and served at your table.
I have tried all kinds of stuff there and have never had anything I didn't like. The other advantage too is it is handy for the bus station too. It's only £7 or so in a taxi from there back to our place so it is much cheaper than the bus if there are more than 3 of you.
On the right hand side of the red arch, there are some photographs. One of them is one our gang catching eggs in a chef's hat, from the last time we were in.
