My father was a Bus driver for the M.H.T.D and was proud of it from just after the war until LCC took over when that happened he refused to go back out on the "Track" as he served his time as a conductor before he became a driver, He finished his time of as a cleaner in the depot,
He was happy 9-5 no shifts no weekends and in time to get on the bowling green, what more could a guy want ;D ;D

Have you noticed that the Stagecoach version has one thing missing?? The council would not give them permission to put the old "Beauty surrounds and Health abounds" crest on the side. Ian |

Ah the good old days when buses were buses and looked like buses and you knew which town they came from by the livery. There are a number of buses around which have the route marked on the side so why not make them even more disinctive so people know where they are going. |

The original Colour schemes were there to identify which Town\City that they came from.. You have to remember that companies have to flexible and you cant Route mark every bus |
