**** STOLEN MOUNTAIN BIKE **** My mountain bike was stolen from my back yard on Hanover Street Morecambe on Sunday 8th Feb at 4pm. It is a Kona NuNu which is metalic yellow in colour with Rock Shox Dukes front suspension forks (black in colour) and silver coloured pedals. The ends of the handlebars have locking nuts on the end with the name Bike Hut on them. The wheels have the name Mavic on them. Two children aged approx 12-14 were seen climbing over the wall that backs on to the car park to the dental centre next to Queen Victoria centre and running away across the car park when confronted. A third rode off on the bike back towards Hanover St or down the back lane to Westover Street. The two children have been picked up on CCTV from the Queen Victoria centre and were wearing dark coloured clothing (blue/black). The theft was when it had just started to snow on Sunday afternoon. If you have any information as to who has the bike or the location of it, then please contact me on 07882569242, or Morecambe Police station on 63333 There is a reward on offer for information leading to the return of the bike. Many thanks.

I live in the general area I will keep a look out but the kids would have to be a bit brazen to ride it around this area. Are there definite marks on the bike to ID it as yours? That would make it easy to distinguish it from other bikes but don't mention them on here. Good luck.

Hi there.
Many thanks for the replies. There are no particular markings on the bike such as a stamp or chip. The bike is unique though as the front forks have been upgraded by myself and the pedals changed also, so there will be no other bike like this in the area. Also, it was made around 6 years ago and the model is no longer in production. The bike however is like new and been well looked after.
It was only in my back yard for approx 15 mins as i had just cleaned it. The kids who climbed the wall leading to the Victoria centre car park got 'lucky' and spotted it within this time!
The only other thing i can think of is that it has standard brakes on it and not the new modern disc brakes you find on newer models.
Thanks again for keeping a look out. Im very keen to find it as im supposed to be doing a race later in the year.
