Aah - cuddly little octopuses. They should have been left on the vine until they were properly ripe. I like the taste but one of those on a plate ?? Best of luck with them Willow, let us know how you get on.

Well I can report from sampling octopus today that they taste a bit like whelk, not quite as rubbery as squid but that may be because they are small ones.

Slippers, scarf, chocs plus a book on the renovation of the Midland. I attended 5 open houses where I got to see most everyone I know in this area over three days. Now I intend to put my feet in my new slippers and get back to reading my book and looking at more photos of the Bay area on your web sites. We have many young 'uns who have made it big in the movies, stage etc., from this area and they were all home visiting their mums and dads so that was nice to see them at the parties and various Christmas events. It is 75 degrees here today so we are off for a stroll on the beach later to watch the sun set. Can't beat Morecambe Bay for sunsets though. Made and received many phone calls from Morecambe the past week with conflicting weather reports from pretty mild to bloody awful. Nice to see all of you had a nice Christmas. David did you remember Angela Smith from our class at MG. She is getting married tomorrow. Her husband of 37 years passed away a few years ago. It is nice to see her embark on a second stage in her life. She now lives in a small village in the South of England. Happy New year. Odom.

conflicting weather reports from pretty mild to bloody awful. That would be because the weather here has ranged between the two over the Christmas period, sometimes all in the same day!
