;D Trev is right.
I can't actually put any photos on at the mo Keith because the upgrade of my PC included a new case which the card reader wouldn't fit into where the chap who did it thought it would. So he said he would go and get one which will fit, but that was just before Christmas so of course I'm still without util he can do it, or until I can find the external spare one which I know we ought to have but doesn't seem to be anywhere logical.
I think one of the laptops has an inbuilt card reader too though so maybe I should have a look. (It'll probably be the one that Em broke! 'D)

A good day was had by all and the turkey was the the best I have ever done. Covered with streaky bacon and roasted in its own fat. The gravy was unuseable but I have my own way of making tasty gravy which does not include any of these strange tasting powders. I got a bit bored sat in front of the telly last night. We don't usually watch the telly much so to sit in front of it from 4pm until after 11pm was a bit much. I busied myself making snacks and stuff but would have preferred playing some games. Willow - Can you upload pictures directly from your camera? I always replace computers rather than upgrade. I always have problems with new ones as I run local servers and such like, so I make sure the old one is still around until the new one is fully tested. Mrs. Keef has recently got a new one with that pesky Vista on it. It is very pretty but does not play nice with XP over a network. I was looking forward to a picture of pickled octopus. Here are the 2 items I mentioned, the vibrating boob for tired hands - mmmmmm! I tend to sit at the computer clicking the top of a retractable pen , which annoys Mrs Keef. This is an alternative but is louder than the pen. Women - I don't understand The puzzle is a tricky one but I have done it (and did not use scissors). The ring has to be removed from the rear peg and the string. Pickled, reminds me of a senior moment Mrs. Keef had last year but I will save that tale for another day. I suggested a walk in the Morecambe sunshine this afternoon but I was met with strange looks. I maybe out on my own later, who knows.

So The inflatable boob is medicinal, so that's OK then Keith. And I think the rope and ring puzzle is a great present.
And Tim, it sounds like you got an electric blanket.
We don't do presents now, so we just had wine and chocolates for the evening.
Willow.... all my pics go direct from the camera via a wire into the computer. I don't have to do the card reading bit.
Regards. Trev..

No trev, it wasnt an electric blanket. It was like an eiderdown. A thickish throw. I lie underneath it an it is just the right temperature for me. I dont like to hot or to cold. This throw is perfect:).

Mrs. Keef has recently got a new one with that pesky Vista on it. It is very pretty but does not play nice with XP over a network. I was looking forward to a picture of pickled octopus. We have usually just bought a new PC in the past too but ended up with things we didn't really want or need, the last one I had had all kinds of features that I never used, so this way worked better. It's practically like getting a new PC, even got a new case for mine. Keyboard, monitor and mouse are ones I bought afterwards anyway so basically, apart from programs which I'm working on, I have everuything to my own specific requirements. This includes glowing things. ') We have two laptops in the family with pesky Vista - which I am sure will grow on me eventually - and they seem to network quite well with the rest which are XP. Willow.... all my pics go direct from the camera via a wire into the computer. I used to do that Trev, but find with various assorted cameras on the go that a card reader works better for me. It doesn't matter which camera is used or even if a visitor uses their entirely different make and model, I can always download from the SD/CF or whatever card direct to the PC using the inbuilt card reader, which is what I hope to eventually be ble to do again once I get one built in. The octopus pics will be on here soon.

Hey Willow - you are fortunate to get Vista and XP to play together. We have two networks here at home, one is for pleasure, ie. Bay Web and some other general interest stuff. The other is my work one which has very high security on it. Some people I work for insist that this level of security is in place and they do test it. It is a bit of a revenge thing because after a particular employee of theirs tried an unsuccessful attempt to hack my computer, I returned the favour by leaving a 'Keef Woz Ere' message on the MD's work station. I sent him an email to tell him why (he is a personal friend so no problem) and he disciplined the employee who does not like me now. I would never do any nasty hacking but there are times when only direct actions will do, not very Christian but it gets the point across.
The problems are caused by Norton Anti Virus which does not like allowing direct access to the high security area from the low security area. The network gets very confused and throws its rattle out of the pram. The machine just locks up. I have spoken to the boffins at Norton about it but they blame Microsoft, Microsoft blame Norton and I blame progress.

I haven't used Norton for years. I fell out with it when it wouldn't co-operate with me once.

I must admit I have had problems with Norton, and problems trying to delete it. It has gone now and I just rely on AVG. It's been fine up to now.
Regards. Trev..
PS.. I have noticed that it must let people look at the answer on the back of my Quiz pics. ;D
