Sorry Willow but I must disagree with you. St. Odeon (originally Saint Oddwon) was the patron saint of fleas and as the early cinemas were usually infested with all kinds of beasties they became known as flea pits or Odeonis. St. Oddwon was born in Cypress and was a member of the Order of Spielborgus Monks who lived in the Hollyword Hill Fort and were responsible for uniting the Greek and Turkish Cypriots in 1132 (about lunch time). Trevor could probably tell us more and maybe even supply some pictures of the hillside fort and some of their scriptlets.

I could go along with the flea pit....just. But the rest sounds a bit like rocking horse droppings. A bit hard to find. you could try asking Ian the projectionist. Cheers. Trev..
