Here is a couple of pics of the Projectors in the Odeon\Classic Cinema, these were taken back in the 70's Before Digital came out Western Eletric system Westar 35 mm projectors with Dc Carbon Arcs. I had quiet a few burns on my wrist when polishing the reflector mirror but I soon got used to concentrating on what I should have been doing Good job the Old A+E department was still open at the Queen vic They soon put me right especially when I turned up with a hand full of free tickets ;D ;D Ian

LOVED the Odeon. Remember being "onduty" as one of the Ambulance Brigade on a Saturday morning for first aid. The blind lady with her guide dog playing all the sing along songs before the show started for the kids. Saw The Three Musketeers 4 times in one day hiding in the toilets with a friend. When we got home at 11.00 that night did we ever get what for! Great memories of a beautiful movie picture house. We have about 40 movie theaters where I live here on the Gulf Coat but nothing can match the old tyme movie theaters for atmosphere. Thanks for working the projector. I think I was a bit before your time though. Jean
