I like them all Keith, although the 'long shots' are good. I like the view of the church as well. Our daughter was May Queen there a lot of years ago. I am glad that you got time to take them on your May Day wander. You do get about as well as your Day job and your DIY ones as well. Mrs Keefy will be wanting a Summer Holiday next. Trev..

We have already planned our summer holiday and we are both looking forward to it. We had a trip up to Holme in Burton yesterday to drop some stuff off. It was meant to be a quick trip up and back so didn't take the camera. When we arrived, the people had left a note that they would be back in an hour. To fill the time we went for a walk along the canal and what a lovely place it was. Pity I couldn't take any pics. I almost always have my camera with me when I go out but the batteries were needing a charge and I left it at home thinking it would not be needed.

Just as a matter of interest. what camera do you use Keith. Is it small enough for a pocket or a belt pouch, or is it an over the shoulder camera job.

I did a lot of research about cameras trying to find the best option for me. I wanted something small but from past experience, it had to have a reasonable sized lense. Many mobile phones boast 10 mega pixels etc. etc but the pictures they take are awful when anything bigger than a postage stamp is required. I would love a huge camera with a big telephoto lense for reading number plates from outer space but it would be too cumbersome for carrying about. So I settled for this Finepix 1000 which fits in a small camera bag over my shoulder. The camera bag also holds, spare batteries, compass and magnifying glass for seeing those really narrow roads on maps. It has taken many thousands of pictures, been invaded by midges and despite the newness wearing off, still gives good service. I always keep it in the padded bag to protect it from damage and rain.

That looks a serious piece of kit. You certainly manage to produce many fine photographs with it, both long range and close up. Long may it serve you well.
