I hope they allocate sufficient parking, as that can be a long slog up Castle Hill. The prison courtyard in the photo was open during the Heritage Days in September. We were up for a few days, and enjoyed a very interesting guided tour, and also of the Judges' Lodgings. Hope it works.

From distant memory I think that there was allocated paging for those working at the prison. So I would think that the same parking could be used for the new hotel complex users. Also they could perhaps use the inner courtyard that you mention. Trev..

That makes sense Trev. My first job when I left school was just off-photo on the right, at the bottom on the steps from The Priory. A big old house, General Accident Fire & Life Ins Co. I didn't last long, and ran away and joined the RN.

I think they have expanded since you left but that is no reflection upon yourself. I remember the place well, it was / is on St Mary's gate. In my earlier years we renovated the top house, centre of picture . This is how it is now.... Trev..
