I have just seen this in the online edition of the Lancaster Guardian.

I hope they allocate sufficient parking, as that can be a long slog up Castle Hill.
The prison courtyard in the photo was open during the Heritage Days in September. We were up for a few days, and enjoyed a very interesting guided tour, and also of the Judges' Lodgings.
Hope it works.

From distant memory I think that there was allocated paging for those working at the prison. So I would think that the same parking could be used for the new hotel complex users. Also they could perhaps use the inner courtyard that you mention.

My first job when I left school was just off-photo on the right, at the bottom on the steps from The Priory. A big old house, General Accident Fire & Life Ins Co.
I didn't last long, and ran away and joined the RN.

I think they have expanded since you left but that is no reflection upon yourself.
I remember the place well, it was / is on St Mary's gate. In my earlier years we renovated the top house, centre of picture .
This is how it is now....
