Had a double glazing salesman call today from a well known company (the lot that will do your other half for free), offering competitive quotes. All our windows are double glazed so I asked him why he was bothering me. His reply was that the windows were getting rather old and could do with being replaced. I asked him how old he thought they were and his estimate was well over ten years.
After telling him what I thought of expertise in short but meaningful words, I pointed out that they were only 4 years old and that they were far superior in quality to the entry level rubbish they sell.
I went on to point out the house next door, where windows from his company were fitted last year and the occupants are still waiting for his company to replace a pane of glass which was cracked during fitting.
Pity our neighbour was out, I would have gone round to tell him that the company reps were in the area.
