We have just got back from a week of encounters in Scotland. We stayed in a creaky but pleasant house on the bank of Loch Linnhe, in a place called Onich, 10 miles South of Fort William. We did a lot of exploring around the area and saw Neptune's Staircase Where we saw the road bridge and railway bridge swing to allow boats through. Sea anemones on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula Beetles which that can walk on water The CalMac ferry arriving at Kilchoan. You may also notice the black blob on the left of the pictures. That is a midge which has somehow got inside the camera lense. Anyone got a clue about how to get it out? The lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point where Minkie Whales have recently been spotted but unfortunately we didn't see any. We went across and walked underneath the Glenfinnan Viaduct with a bunch of Hogwart Groupies Went up Glen Nevis on the Gondola and saw a lot of mist. Paid our respects at the Commando Monument above Spean Bridge. Got spotted by this proud fella even though he was a long way away An watched this extremely dangerous creature feeding on dandelion stalks in the garden. Some very nice shots there Keith. I am glad that you had an enjoyable time, even though the weather was not at it's best.
I have yet to read the full story but it is something I may get to later today.
Just remind us again where this Sotland is. I can't C it on the map.
Cheers. Trev..

You'd be able to taste the salt spray then.

Oh that's a nice little memory jogger for me Keef. We've made quite a few trips up to Fort William, stayed in a nice little B&B there with a lovely view of Ben Nevis out of the window. Those infernal midges up there are a real nuisance though - they get worse in late summer. I've been told once they are in a camera lense you can't get the blighters out!
