A cold and crispy Sunday morning had us making the short drive to Beetham in South Cumbria for this walk. We were hoping to see the deer in Dallam Park and fortunately were not disappointed as I managed to get a number of fairly close up Pictures. The walk was finished with a visit to the tea-room above the shop/post office in Beetham for a cuppa and some hot soup. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Pictures from the walk are now available to view on the website for those wishing to do so. Regards, Dave

There are some stunning pictures there Dave - thanks for sharing. Are the close up, deer shots taken using a tripod/monopod or are you just very stable?

There was a wire fence in front of me which gave support for the shots near the river, although the first big zoom of the herd in the trees was just handheld at 24x Optical Zoom. I'm very impressed with the image stabiser on the camera. Dave
