We were coming out of Morrisons yesterday morning at about 10am. and there was a siren sounding. It sounded like an air raid siren but as there has been nothing on the news about Overton becoming a republic I can only assume it was being tested just in case.
Just makes me think, what is the point of having a siren if nobody knows what it is for.

Just in case of what? Invasions from the Isle of Man? With the number of cancellations of the IOM ferry recently there is not much chance of that. It certainly seems to be a puzzle, and as you say of no use whatsoever if you don't know what its for. Cheers. Trev..... waiting for Xmas dinner in less than an hour.... hopefully ;D

That is what I thought but if the sirens sound, what do we do? Head for the hills, hide under the dining room table, drink all the alcohol in the house to prevent looting - what?
