Our once a year visit to the town that time forgot is here again. Tomorrow and Friday in the Kings Arms in Lancaster. Then a week on Westgate Caravan Park. Shrimps v Brizzle Rovers this Saturday. Lots of Samuel Smiths in the Tivoli. I've ordered the weather, so no need to hide the legs just yet

The Tivoli had a reputation when I was younger, don't think I've been in there more then a few times in my life.

Haven't been in yet this trip, but will be there in 3 hours for a session. Biggest disappointment with Morecambe so far is all the dog crap. I was so looking forward to all the window shopping opportunities, but have to keep my eyes peeled on the pavements instead. It's worse than Paris!!

Thanks Peter, if it's a Sam Smiths pub then all I'm missing is cheap alcohol. I prefer the Palatine for the atmosphere and selection of beers or the D&P for it's closeness to home. This is what I hate about a lot of pubs, the smokers welcoming committee

You can go in the back way too! That bloke on the very right used to the the head of maths at Preston Catholic College. He's a dodgy developer now.

That's what someone once told me and I've never been in since ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Oh, hang on, you mean there's a back door?

A few of several things caught my eye on this trip:
- A very tastefully built house in Heysham Village square. This time last year it was a burned-out Thai restaurant.
- The Elms Hotel. It's only been partially demolished. Is that how it's being left? drat shame.
- The number of empty shops on Princes Crescent.

It's a shame about the empty shops - seems to be the same everywhere these days.
Did you happen to take a photo of that new house in Heysham? We haven't managed to visit there for a while.

Is that the building opposite the cafe?

No photo. It's where the burned-out Thai(?) restaurant was, right in the centre of the village square opposite a couple of cafes and near the loos..

Next to where the buses turn. I've got a free weekend coming up so I'll go for a few wanders with camera.

Brian Any chance of getting a photo of that ostentatious, tasteless pile down Oxcliffe Road too? Thought you might have been travelling to Sarfend on Saturday. The half-time entertainment looks interesting

Peter, I'll leave you to run the risk of taking a photo of someone's private property on Oxcliffe Road.
Been to Sarfend a few times already this year, don't fancy spending a Saturday there as well. Have you bought a zoom lens for the match?

Peter, I'll leave you to run the risk of taking a photo of someone's private property on Oxcliffe Road. I think you're right, too much CCTV knocking about. Might see a bit of action there if the Dale farm settlers get shifted. Been to Sarfend a few times already this year, don't fancy spending a Saturday there as well. Have you bought a zoom lens for the match? No. I've decided to turn my back on the half-time action as a protest
