The Morecambe Bay Guest House

I have just recently found out that a neighbouring hotel, I won't say it's name in full, (but it shares it's name with the Queen's Highland residence, starting with 'B' and ending in 'almoral') when you clicked on the Morecambe Bays' link on Google, it led to their neighbour, and cost them dearly, They had the same web page designer, who tinkered with the settings. That's one hotel I'll be avoiding in the future. Caroline and her family certainly have my full support in this piece of uncouthyness, for want of a better word.

That is certainly a shame about the links on Google. I would have thought that they could make a complaint to Google.

Depends what the web designer tinkered with.
Sounds like an incorrect link from the domain name but totally careless shows a lack of testing.

It was tinkered with. The hotel next door has the same web designer as them, and in August all of a sudden business dropped, except for the 'B' place. I 'complained' to the 'B' place that the link was incorrect, and despite the Morecambe Bay trying for days to sort it, my intervention got it sorted in less than 12 hours! (I also sent a message at 1.20 am which added to the time). The 'B' place recommended the web designer, then it cost them. The slight flaw, for want of a better word, was discovered by a family member of the Morecambe Bay. I know times are hard, but that was lower than a snakes belly in a submarine.

Was the Morecambe Bay's link pointed at the B place?

All I know is that despite the Google link saying one thing, it was directed to the 'B' hotel next door. I have been in daily contact with the owner of Morecabe Bay (Caroline) who has told me the lies etc that have been told, bit's that haven't made sense that we both have spotted. Caroline bought a few domain names in co.uk, .com etc and others, but still the link went elsewhere. As soon as I pointed it out via B's Facebook page, hey presto, it was all sorted. Volumes spoken methinks! There has been some evidence provided by the people Caroline pays to maintain the site, which also proves mischief was ongoing, but it was still denied by 'B'.

Was this a normal link or one of the sponsored links which appears at the top.
Normal links are created from actual web content wereas the information in a sponsored link is directly submitted. The other option would be the domain to which the Morecambe Bay's own domain name points to, that could be re-directed anywhere but to do that, you would need the account details.

There is never an excuse for sabotaging anyone's business, whether they are a rival or not.

It was definetly sabotage, I was being told they didn't know what was going on in the same e-mail that they told me what was! They responded to something I supposedly said, but didn't, because they accused me of something I knew nothing about 'til two days later! They didn't notice I hadn't mentioned it yet.

It's over now, the problem has been solved, and Caroline has thanks you for your support. She has asked that it is now laid to rest.
