What is the best way to contact a Councillor? Has anyone ever had a response? Wait for one of them to launch a campaign, find out where they're going to set up their stall then go and face them. Worked for me until Evelyn realised her answers were pathetic and turned her back on me. For example: Evelyn - the US development will spoil the view. Me - What view? all you can see from the promenade around that area is the dome roof, greenery and fence. There's no Bay view. Evelyn - you can see it from the Winter Gardens balcony. Me - the balcony of a theatre closed for about 30 years? Evelyn changed the subject. Evelyn - the US development means the road will be narrowed making it more difficult for the emergency services. Me - you mean just like the council have narrowed the road all the way from Central Drive to Lord Street? Evelyn changed the subject. That, folks, is what we're up against.

Central Drive to Lord Street? I can only remember it being as wide as it is now but as the 2 lanes in front of the Midland are reduced to 1 by parked cars , I can't see how narrowing the road will make any difference, except for less parking spaces.

Central Drive to Lord St used to be as wide as the stretch by the Midland. Then they narrowed the road to make room on the promenade side to have the car parks instead of parking on the road.
