Hi Trev, They don't give many details of events do they Saturday there are The old "red" Ribble busses running up and down the prom from Happy mount to Prom Station approx every 30 Min's, and the same on Sunday. Sunday we have the Battle of Brittan memorial flight at 1300 ( 1pm ) for those who don't understand the 24hr system It was printed at one point as 1330 but I've just seen a "Flyer" saying that it's 1300. I just hope that you all have a good weekend. And equally importantly a fine weekend.
Maybe the boat is there for a bit of repainting.
Enjoy your days out. Trev..

I have not been down for a while.
I saw the bus a few times up near the Town Hall but I was inside and didn't get chance to take a piccy.
They must have got the boat up there on a high tide knowing it would be ok for a few weeks.
Would there be a charge for mooring there?

Hi Keith. Brilliant pictures again. I remember the Florence coach and others when they used to line up on the promenade at the west ed and 'Tout' for business. What brilliant times they were when Morecambe was a busy seaside resort. The corporation used to send a loudspeaker van around town asking those with spare accommodation to get in touch with the tourist bureau,
I am also glad that it was a nice fine day. I know one of the forum posts say that there is something on next weekend. I have looked at the forecast and there is a chance of rain then.
What is going to be behind the new door and windows in the clock tower buildings?. I assume the toilets are still around the other side.
I suppose the embankment warning notice is partly to cover the council in case of accidents and also to prevent damage (bike tyres) to the grass.
Regards. Trev..

Hi Keith, Nice pics, They grounded the full flight because of strong winds at there base I have a feeling that they had done the east cost displays yesterday and got grounded on the east coast somewhere, they were supposed to do us then fly down to wales. The old AEC owned by Cumbria coaches, I think she came last year Ian

For anyone interested in old coaches.. indeed fairly local old coaches, this website is well worth a look. www.cumbriaclassiccoaches.co.uk/Especially the fleet list, and then you can click on a coach for more details and pictures. Trev..

Let's all be grateful that is wasn't windy during WW2 ;D
I know that the bloke who owns the cafe at the end of the Clock Tower toilets, owns the rest of the building so maybe it is going to be a cafe.

Mrs Keef reckons I should have included this picture from Saturday. He was removing a nail from his nose - as you do!

I was wondering what the heck he was doing when I saw the first pic of him! Was that part of the entertainment? Glad you had a nice sunny weekend for it but a pity about the aircraft being grounded. It seemed like lovely weather from where we were. Saturday I was in Chorley and Sunday in Blackburn/Accrington - we even went for a walk (not Coachman, he was driving a coach)

Not much blood on the nail though. Keith, I know what you mean about having a war on a calm day. It seemed ridiculous to me. The clock tower buildings look as though they could well be a cafe with the big windows.
