A few photos from a walk this morning. The rest will be on the website later. Frost on Morecambe Golf Course Morecambe Golf Course again but reflections of a bridge More bridge reflections but this time Bridge 116 on the Lancaster Canal This should be a 'where is it' picture but it should be fairly obvious when taken in the context of the other pictures in this thread. A welcome back to Morecambe and finally Venus and Cupid looking splendid in the morning sun.

Yes Peter frost - that is what the white stuff was first thing and a lot of the canal was frozen. From what I remember about cycling on canal tow paths, frost was not a problem, banging your head on a bridge and falling into the water was much worse It soon disappeared once the sun got higher in the sky. I set off with hat and gloves on but it had warmed up nicely an hour later

We cycled on the frozen canal. It cracked under the bridges because the ice was thinner.

Brrr, yes it does look cold but at least it is sunny. The Bridge could only be the Hest bank road Bridge. We have been awake about an hour now and although there is little sun and it is very windy, the temperature outside is 19c.

Bridge 116 is Raikes Head Bridge which is at the junction of several favourite routes of mine.
Peter - I had mis-understood your reference to cycling under the bridge.

Sorry Trev, I have clearly had too much Morecambe Sea air. You can't see how much tilt there is on the track but you can see it clearly when a train goes through.

Yes you can see the tilt on the trains. I wonder what happens to the cups of coffee if they have to stop on the bend.
