Yes it all has just about disappeared. I bet most folk nearby are glad about that. Re the objectionable colour of the paint..... I wondered where all that Taylor Woodrow lime green went after the building of the Power stations at Heysham. I think you missed an opportunity with the last picture. You could have started a new thread called 'Spot the Caravan' It may have run for a few weeks. Cheers. Trev..

I have not seen in the Visitor online, anything about the Elms at all.
Does anyone have information as to how things are progressing.... or not as the case may be.

I haven't been over there for over a month but on the 9th May 2012, the view through the gates looked like this. Round the side, there were some foundation ground works going on. Round the back, looking towards Bare Lane, looks like this. I will get over there at some point this week and bring you an update.

Thanks for the pictures Keith. Although all the rubble seems to have gone I bet the neighbours are not too happy. I thought that they were only demolishing some of the hotel but it now looks like they are starting from scratch.
I will look forward with interest for any up to date information.
Cheers. Trev..

There wasn't much urgency to take the latest photographs as not a lot has changed physically. I am sure a lot of work has been done in the ground and then it has been covered over. The view from the Owl's Nest car park has changed very little. and the wider view from Bare Lane looks less green than it did. The site foreman kindly offered to allow me the take photographs from the steps of the site cabin (on the right) but I think this view is OK and can be taken anytime. I can get the camera over 11ft in the air with my monopod which is about the same height. Staying off site has the advantage of not invoking H&S issues where I would have to wear a bump lid.

Thanks for the new pictures Keith. The latest batch certainly show virtually all the site. I can see that you you took ones from the Bare lane end of the plot. I can also see Frank Chapmans if that is still what the buildings are used for.
The job seems to be taking a long while. As I perhaps said before I don't think the neighbours well be very pleased.
Cheers,. Trev..
