Hi Ian. I will have to look into that and try to remember to watch it. I may even tape it as well. On the programme guide it doesn't name the ship. But it does say that it is a listing ferry boat of the coast of Blackpool.
Cheers. Trev..

There was a search and rescuey type programme on a few weeks ago that featured Riverdance, and crew members being taken off. It was only a few minutes long. I checked the 7 day EPG on Sky and it said it featured a ship 'off the coast of Blackpool'. Well , it was near enough (Anchorsholme, Thornton Cleveley's might have had too many syllables in it for them)
I tried the above link and it didn't work.

I agree with Ian, they are good photos. This one is NOT a good photo but it does fill me with amazement that when she was only at this angle of list, something could not have been done to stop her keeling over. The rusty marks on the bottom of the boat are where she sat when she was in dry dock being shot blasted and painted. They just cannot get to everywhere. Regards. Trev..

Cheers Trev, thanks for your comments, I wasn't sure on the rust marking as I had heard on VHF "We have scraped again" when both her and her sister left Heysham.
There are a few new Holes in the NEW stone work on the North roundhead, It has been painted White but something has hit it again ;D ;D
I see that "Riverdance" is the Only one in UK waters.
Regards Ian

The marks along her bottom are from where she as scraped the bottom , either when coming ashore or when in shallow water. In dry dock she would be sat on a number of "Plinths" so that an inspection could be carried out.

I have now searched for pictures and I see that they sit on a system of blocks. I don't suppose you know why the marks would be so 'regular'. Regards. Trev..
