How do Tommy!
One of my favourite short walks is from the hotel (I assume you're staying in The Trevelyan again?) along the prom, past The Battery down to Heysham.
I'll have a wander around St Patrick's Chapel and across the Barrows to the Zoo Cafe, then have a cuppa and a bacon sandwich before either walking as far as I can along the harbour wall or back through the village and back along the prom.
Make sure you show us your photos!

One of our circular walks around the area starts at Broadway, cut through to Lancaster Road, cycle path, cut through to Westgate, past the football ground, Westcliffe Drive, footpath down by the caravan park, Oxcliffe Rd, bridle way just before the railway, and past Heysham Moss, back over the railway, up onto Mossgate Rd. drop down into Heysham village for tea and bacon butties at one of the eateries and then return along the promenade back to Broadway.
Another suggestion, take the open top bus from The Platform to Happy Mount Park, the flowers are looking good at the moment or if you go to the new play area at the top in the early morning there are quite a few squirells about.

Don't forget Lancaster. No3 or 4 bus (both go along the prom to Bare before turning up Princes Crescent) Get off at Lancaster bus station. Walk all the way along the Quay. Under Carlisle Bridge, turn left after 200 yards onto Lune Road. Take the next left onto Long Marsh Lane. Walk up to The Priory and Lancaster Castle. Then drop down into town. Have a couple of pints, and then back to Morecambe on the bus.

Did you ever get to live in morecambe? I didn't mate, but I'm still working on it! ;D I'll be back up there again in September. The weather was a bit damp last year. Hopefully it'll stay dry this year. I have lots of walks planned myself.

Ill be there for the Heritage Weekend!!! That's the weekend I'll be there too. I'm organising a "meet" for another forum that I post on for the Saturday, but I'm looking forward to seeing the Red Arrows on the Sunday. Maybe we'll get to meet up for that beer this year.
