Apologies for the delay in passing this on to you. To commemorate the publication of The Second Book of General Ignorance, John Lloyd, John Mitchinson and the QI team have revealed that Britain’s most generally ignorant town is... ...Swindon. "What's this got to do with Morecambe?" I hear you ask. Morecambe was the joint 5th cleverest town, having tied with Cardiff. The full results can be found here. Can you spot any local characters/people you know?

Oh I wish I could watch the video. Sound is up the creek for playing video clips like that but to play something I've downloaded I don't have a problem. I wish I knew what was wrong. I've tried several solutions but to no avail.
I wonder where Accy would come on the list? There are some right thickies round here. I wonder how they selected who to approach and ask.

We approached people at random in town centres and asked them meaningless questions about a variety of subjects. Their answers were entered into a laptop during the interview. The identities of the interviewees was meant to be anonymous but while in Accrington, a subject by the name of Bunty Pratcliffe insisted that we listened to him tell us some interesting facts about Accrington Town Council. We knew the guy was a bounding idiot of the highest order when he tried to convince us that a town website could cost in excess of half a million pounds.
Accrington was classed as DNF (Did Not Finish), in the overall rankings.
Bunty Pratcliffe was last seen sitting in the Scaitcliffe Home for the Befuddled wearing a gold medal, which bore the crest of the town.

;D Ah good old Bunty. His smiling face grinning out from the pages of the local rag every week never fails to cheer me up. At least we got the free bag of grit he promised us. I wonder if I still have that portrait I did of him?

Not much else on his website is there? Mind you those palm trees don't half give a good impression of Accy, trouble is I can't quite remember having seen them anywhere round here.
