We went this lunchtime, but the menu we were given was not the one in the window. It was much reduced and had hardly anything Thai on it. Lots of English food like Egg and Chips though.
The guy said the main menu in the window was for evening, but it doesn't state this anywhere on it...and while we were there a couple of people came in and when they realised...they walked out again.
We decided to stay and try the couple of Thai dishes that they did have on offer, but the food was disappointingly bland and not very well cooked.
Also, they have made little attempt to actually do up the place. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls and there are large damp patches on the ceiling.
We won't be going back.

What a shame. I love Thai food but it doesn't sound like they are going to stay open for long if they are not really doing Thai food. We once went to a Thai restaurant in Whalley, having failed to get a table at the place we really wanted to go to. The starter was excellent but we were a little puzzled when the waitress said a lot of people just order a larger starter for their main course. Then we got the main course and realised why people just eat starter followed more starter. The main course was like yours esm, very bland and not very well cooked. Such a shame.

Tbh...I have never had Thai food done very well in the UK, but there's 'not bad', 'quite good' and there's 'awful'. Unfortunately, McThais falls into the latter category. esm xx

I had to join, mainly to reply to this post,i have been to mcthais from day one of opening, and for the first 8 days i had a meal there,i would like to clarify that the chef and owner is from thailand, and how the food can be bland is beyond me,unless the said person had dentures in which takes away your taste buds,i am yet to have a nasty tasting meal in there and i would also say that if you were dissapointed,i would of brought this to the attention of the manager, the man with the glasses,as he wouldnt expect anyone to pay for food they did not enjoy,i eat out at least three times a week in morecambe and i have stories i can say about many places, but for other people on here i would give mcthai restaurant a try as they have not let me down yet, which i would like to say about other places i have ate in but cannot.

The link above is worth a look before eating out in the local area. It is ratings for how clean the place's are not how good the food is. Theres a few I won't be going to again.

Hmm that's a bit off-putting for some places but good to know. Hope they keep it updated.
