I've just viewed he fireworks pictures that you took. No you weren't mad, just an enthusiastic photographer.
The pictures are really good and well worth viewing.
Thanks for posting them.

I'm not sure I'd watch fireworks from such a distance again, especially to take photos. Not only do you miss the noise of the fireworks but when you're close you can hear/feel the big'uns being launched and you know to get ready to take a piccy.
Glad you enjoy them, it makes taking the lemsip worthwhile

Well Gnasher, what can I say? The test results are back and you just scraped through on the sane side of madness but it was close. As for the photographs, well they are just stunning and I would say that the effort was worthwhile. Where were you, Williamson Park?

Aye, Williamsons Park. So wet they only opened 2 paths, one of which had restricted views. Grass too wet and Radio Lancs sheltered under the dome from where the trees blocked the view of the fireworks.

Love the photos.
We were daft enough to do the same lat year when a friend of our daughter was over from France. Was there anything going on at the castle this year?

All the usual stuff at the castle, don't know how busy it was because I stayed clear of the town centre.

I gave up football photography a few months ago and one of the things I was looking forward to was not having to stand out in the pouring rain on match days. Then I go to the highest point in town in torrential rain to take photos ..... Luckily I am on a leadership course and they seem to be saying I am sane, officially
