Lost One Bungalow In Oldham, Found One House In MORECAMBE. Yes it's official Me & Mrs Musky are soon to be residents in Morecambe (Heysham) ![[image]](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a360/willowthewhisp/Morecambe%20BayWeb/additionalsmileys/bravo.gif) As I said after Mrs Muskys Mum passed away in June that we could now start looking for a move there the job is nearly done.
The reason I have not been on the board for a long time is that three days after the funeral we were burgled in the early hours 4.30am and my laptop was stolen amongst numerous other things it has been one of the most stressful times we have had to cope with so far, and hopefully things can only get better (fingers crossed) So make way for the Champion Donut Muncher & Olympic Tea Drinker (Gold Medal) We are on our way Septemberish and praying for an Indian Summer.

Well you have both had a stressful time. I truly hope that the worst is behind you now and that once you have moved (more stress) you will be able to settle in 'God's Country' (Heysham).
You will be able to enjoy walks along the promenade and the cliffs. They have been improved since I lived there.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Musky but your plan to move to the seaside has to be a positive step and is the chance to make a fresh start.
Our great leader (Atilla the Wisp) is in the land of frog's legs at the moment, with her trusty companion Coachman the Croissant and her last communication told of poor signals and low batteries, so it may be some time before she is able to send you your Morecambe Bay New Resident's Pack.
This pack consists of several useful items as well as a few items of utter tat! I still have some of mine left as I do not know what I am meant to do with a jar of radioactive water and a 'glow in the dark' feather. You will find the Shrimps in White Wine very tasty but the wine did have a slightly salty seawater taste to it. The book, '1000 Things Make From Sea Weed' has kept Mrs Keef amused for months but the seaweed cardigan she knitted brought me out in a rash.
May I, on behalf of the Jammy Dodger Dunkin Dodderers, welcome you to the sands and wish you both well in your move North.
I just hope that the move from Oldham to Heysham is not too much of a culture shock, for you both.
I assume that you and Mrs Musky have had your jabs and that your papers are in order. I hope you do realise that any pets, mice, rabbits, dogs, cats, goldfish, snakes etc. will have to be quarrantined at the Overton animal reception centre for a short period before being allowed into Heysham.
Nurse says I should stop typing now and go back to rocking gently back and forth ...................

The long sleeved jacket wasn't a problem as that too has been knitted from seaweed and offers some relief if you stand out in the rain. The clam shell buckles which fasten behind my back are easy to unclip but please don't tell the staff as they think I am still in my cell / room, not here in the Matron's office, tweaking everyones meds!

There are many jabs to be endured before you are accepted. One of the orderlies reminded me of the initiation ceremony and my recovery has been severely affected, so please forgive me if I don't go into too much detail of where they stick the toffee apple .
You'll be fine once the toffee cools down.

When I went through the initiation ceremony with the toffee apple, I had to complain.
I found that there was a foreign body in it. Fortunately because it was a large item, I was able to see that it had a long piece of wood sticking out.

The staff at A & E were a bit cagey while I had it removed but I did hear someone mention splinters, you maybe right about the wooden stick trev. We will find out for sure if Mr or Mrs Musky catch that Pine Flu that's going about.
The initiation ceremony may have to be changed, what are they going to use instead of those tubes of sherbert tablets they got from Woolies?

After serving in the Royal Navy initiation ceremonys will be no problem. Toffee apples and all you can throw at us will be easy we are prepared, after living in Oldham we will do anything to become residents.

 We go away for five minutes and the forum turns into a very dubious place indeed. 
What's all this then? They are letting more people into Morecambe and haven't told us? How very dare they!
Hope this is the start of an upturn in your circumstances Musky and Mrs Musky after some difficult recent times, Good luck with the move.

Thanks Willow. Should be moving in soon our buyer had there survey done last week. And all the paperwork is at the Solicitor's, so hopefully first week of September. Not much to do at Morecambe end with it being a new build
